| The Empire Hotel - Hong Kong is owned and managed by Asia Standard Hotel Group. In 2009, the Hotel Group organized, in partnership with SAHK, an innovative charity initiative entitled ‘The Art of Caring’ aiming at offering talent development opportunities for local children and youth with disabilities to express themselves and demonstrate their abilities through art and drawings. |
The event was held during Mar-Apr ‘09 with over 300 artworks submitted by SAHK child and youth members. The submitted artworks were organized into various themes relevant to their everyday lives. ‘The Art of Caring’ was unveiled in an Exhibition on 1 Jun ‘09 in the all-new Empire Hotel HK – Causeway Bay. |
| After the exhibition, 276 paintings were framed as wall decoration in all guest rooms of the Empire Hotel in Causeway Bay (the official Congress hotel). Hotel guests are welcome to make a purchase towards any paintings in the rooms for HK$500 apiece. 80% of the money will be given to SAHK for continuing its talent development programmes. |
